I think as best you can you have to look at this situation objectively and think, what if it was my sister going into this situation? I don’t know how you are going to be able to do that with all the factors you have to consider. You’ve known Ahsan for a long time, and he was your coach. How long have you known him? I was going to say that it is an intense relationship, and it is an intense relationship. That is a different kind of relationship than even a teacher. Coaches have such influence on our lives in so many ways. And in some sense, your relationship with him is built off of not wanting to disappoint him. That is huge. And that is a really hard decision. I think you have to look at it objectively. …. But in the end, you are the only one with all of the information. Someone else might look at the situation and say, “That’s crazy. Of course you should do one thing or another” but fact of the matter is, they don’t have all of the information and experience you do. I think it is good that you are aware of exactly all of the factors and are trying to make an informed decision. And, at the end of the day, you have to make the best decision for you, right now, with what you know and what you feel.
